EDITOR’S NOTE: Mark Maynard, the managing editor of Kentucky Today, is the brother of Dr. Tim Maynard, the pastor of Fruit Cove Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Fla. Dr. Maynard is a graduate of Southern Theological Seminary in Louisville and a native of Ashland, Ky. Tim’s wife, Pam, was diagnosed with brain cancer in April. She died four months later.
