LOUISVILLE Ky. (KT) – Louisville parents have a new option for day camps with a Christian focus this summer.
Crossings Ministries will be offering a gospel-centered camp experience for elementary-aged children. The Crossings Day Camps will run weekdays June 4 through July 27 at Sojourn East Community Church in Saint Matthews.
“These camps are everything you know and love about Crossings, packed into one day,” said Lance Howerton, interim president of Crossings.
Crossings Ministries, through a partnership with the Kentucky Baptist Convention, has reached thousands of students with the gospel since forming in 2001. Last summer alone, Crossings saw 677 salvation decisions and 593 calls to the ministry.
Hundreds of kids and teens attend high energy overnight camps each summer at Crossings’ two camps: Cedarmore and Jonathan Creek.
Howerton said the Louisville day camps will be a great opportunity “to share the gospel with kids who may not have another opportunity to hear.”
Camp activities will include worship, Bible study, high energy outdoor games, crafty activities, team building, water games “and more,” he said.
“We are extremely excited to launch Crossings Day Camps and bring this unique opportunity to Louisville,” said Day Camp Director Adam Tait.
Registration is open to any child entering the first grade through entering sixth grade. The weekly rate for camp is $200. Visit crossingsdaycamps.org for more information.
