KY Baptists sending feeding crew to Virgin Islands for hurricane relief

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky Baptists will deploy to the U.S. Virgin Islands to continue helping people recover from a series of hurricanes.

Coy Webb, head of Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief in Kentucky, said a kitchen team will be heading to the Virgin Islands to provide food for victims as well as responders who are helping them to recover.

“This deployment has been extremely challenging logistically, and we are preparing for a first as we load a Disaster Relief mobile kitchen onto a cargo ship to be transported to St Thomas,” Webb said.

Kentucky Baptists already are serving in Texas and Florida.
