Love Loud speaks volumes

Posted

Kudos to the Liberty Association of Baptists in Barren County for another successful Love Loud event.

The association has sponsored the event since 2013 and this year more than 250 middle school and high school youth put their collective might together for a three-day missional event that gets much accomplished in the three-county area of Barren, Hart and Metcalfe counties.

Youth were given opportunities to work in community service, construction and evangelism. They worked together, sometimes with a youth they may have never met previously. Friendships and bonds are formed that could last a lifetime.

These communities are welcoming and look forward to Love Loud every summer. The event brings church leaders from a number of churches together for the better part of a year to organize the event. And the community has noticed. Now, a number of non-profit organizations and schools count on the students to accomplish important tasks during the week.

In 2013, when the idea was hatched, about 75 youth came out to participate. But as the years carried on the Liberty Association of Baptists saw tremendous growth in Love Loud.

It’s a way not only of helping our neighbors and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ while we’re doing it but it brings together churches from throughout the association’s area. It’s a great reminder of what can happen when Christians put their hands and hearts together.

It takes some great organization and a lot of volunteers but the value of introducing Jesus Christ to the communities where we live should have no obstacles.

Ask big of your association and see what happens when we all work together.
