Messengers approve convention committee recommendations

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) – Messengers to the Kentucky Baptist Convention approved more than 20 members from churches across the state to serve on various convention committees.

 

Committee on Committees Chairman Wes Pinkley presented the list of recommended nominees Tuesday morning during the 180th Annual Meeting of the Kentucky Baptist Convention held at Highview Baptist Church east campus in Louisville, Ky.

 

New committee members are as follows:

 

Committee on the Annual Meeting

2020 Terms [2] – Roxanne Nanney (Brandenburg) and Phyllis Webb (Shelbyville)

 

Committee on Constitution & Bylaws

2020 Terms [3] – Scott Cammack (Elizabethtown), Jamie Reynolds (Hazard), and Ben Stratton (Mayfield)

 

Committee on Credentials

2020 Terms [3] – Mark Combs (Hazard), Kyle Franklin (Hawesville), and Mark Helton (Monticello)

Region 2: 2018 Unexpired Term: John Birchett (Hopkinsville)

Members of the Committee on Committees includes Wes Pinkley (Chairperson), Joe Bufford, Ian Carrico, Daryl Cornett, Travis Drake, Blake Lawyer, Rob Patterson, Ricky Simpson and Jamaal Williams.

 

Ex officio members of the committee are KBC Executive Director Paul Chitwood and the convention president.
