CATLETTSBURG, Ky. (KT) - A northeastern Kentucky man has been indicted for his mother's death in a house fire at her home last month, according to Boyd County court records.
Christopher Childers, 34, faces a murder charge in connection with the death of Ruby Childers, 58. She was found dead Sept. 6 after a fire at her home in Ashland.
Christopher Childers already had been indicted on a first-degree arson charge.
According to court records, Christopher Childers has a prior criminal record. He previously had been convicted of second-degree robbery, second-degree burglary and theft of a controlled substance.
