Oneida Baptist Institute to dedicate new girls’ dormitory Aug. 2

ONEIDA, Ky. (KT) – A new girls’ dormitory will be dedicated at Oneida Baptist Institute on Aug. 2.

The ceremony for Jen-Hsun Huang Hall will take place at 3 p.m.

The dorm was made possible through a generous donation from Jen-Hsun Haung. At the age of 9 in the mid-1970s, Huang and his brother were allowed to live at OBI though Oneida was then only a high school. The boys attended classes at Oneida Elementary school.

Jen-Hsun Huang Hall is the second dormitory to be constructed recently. OBI broke ground on Huang Hall on July 20, 2017, the same day it dedicated Carnahan-Daugherty Hall, a boys’ dorm and middle school classrooms. Huang Hall will include new classrooms for the high school.

Oneida Baptist Institute is a Christian boarding school in Oneida, Kentucky serving boarding students in grades 7-12 and local students in grades K-12.
