Former Ky. Baptist pastor charged with sex crimes in North Carolina


BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (KT) – A former Kentucky Baptist pastor has been charged with one count of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of statutory sex offense (with child 15 or younger by 6 years or older), according to WLOS-TV in Black Mountain, North Carolina.

Trent Brandon Holbert, 41, made an initial court appearance on Thursday.

Holbert is listed as lead pastor of The Ridge Church in Black Mountain. He previously pastored Epoch Fellowship Church in Owenton, Ky., as late as 2017.
